Read what our test users thought about their experience with MemoryAid.
"I think the device has been the best thing since baked bread. It really is. It's so helpful for me. Not once in the whole time [I've been using it] have I forgotten my pills. Everyday it's helped remind me to take my pills."
"For me anyway with my mild cognitive abilities, it's been incredibly helpful, really really helpful. It's helped me remember all the things I'm meant to, plus a few that's prompted me to do other things."
"This is so good for my own independence too, you know, and just being able to cope with daily tasks. What it does is it provides you with that routine, you know, and often we get the routines mixed up. So it actually provides clarity for those routines, and it provides me with a sense of wellbeing, you know, because I'm doing what I'm meant to do."
"It takes the pressure off knowing, like takes that stress away, that I don't have to have reminders of people doing it for me."
"I can do it. Makes me that independent. It just makes me feel I can do it. It's my other brain."
"After a couple of weeks it built that internal, kind of, awareness of routine."
"The having that interaction is good because then she's not lonely."
"It was just, yeah, very easy to operate, I thought. You just go straight in the app and its there."
"I would imagine if you were on your own, this would be the difference as you got worse, between potentially staying at home on your own and having to have full-time care."
"The reception was fantastic. The audio was fantastic. The picture was fantastic."
The journey to create MemoryAid began with years of academic research into memory, cognition, and supportive technologies, led by experts at Western Sydney University and Deakin University. We asked people what they actually needed. They told us: make it intuitive, person-centred, and customisable, something that supports independence while keeping social connection alive.
We brought together people with dementia, their care partners, and technology experts to co-design and refine every detail. The result is a device built with and for its users — one that helps people stay independent through personalised prompts and makes meaningful connection effortless with easy video calls.
MemoryAid is in the final stages of development and is set to launch in 2026. Enter your email to find out when MemoryAid becomes available.
