I have dementia, but I live alone. Would MemoryAid be helpful for me?
Yes. MemoryAid can be very useful for people who live alone, providing prompts for daily activities that you value, and connecting you via videocall with loved ones. You can choose to use the companion app yourself to schedule personalised reminders for yourself, or you can nominate a loved one who doesn't live with you to do this for you.
I care for a person living with dementia, but we don't live in the same house (or even the same city). Can we use MemoryAid?
Yes. MemoryAid can be very useful when loved ones live apart from each other. Care partners can use the MemoryAid app to remotely program personalised prompts, and the videocall their loved ones.
I live outside Australia. Will I be able to purchase MemoryAid?
TBC
How do I make sure that people I don't know (eg telemarketers) aren't able to call me or my loved one on MemoryAid?
MemoryAid is not connected to the telephone network, so there's no telephone number associated with the device. Only people who you invite to the MemoryAid app can call the device. Some people choose to only have one person who can videocall them, others choose their extended family and friends.
I live in residential aged care. Can I use MemoryAid?
TBC
